Chiropractic has always been part of my life. My mom started taking us to the chiropractic at age 5 as she understood regular chiropractic care was essential to our well-being. It wasn’t until I turned 21, however, that I really understood how much of an impact chiropractic can make.
After a 5-day overland hike with a very heavy pack, I started to have horrible pain in my chest – so bad in fact that I quickly got myself to the doctor as I was quite convinced I was experiencing a heart attack. The doctor dismissed me and said he couldn’t help. I was relieved I wasn’t having a heart attack, but the pain made it difficult to breathe, to stand straight, and to sleep.
I got myself to a chiropractor and explained my symptoms. He asked me to sit on the table and within minutes he had isolated the ribs that were out of place, causing the pain. After a few adjustments I was pain free!
I have continued to receive adjustments regularly and cannot imagine my life without chiropractic.
After almost 17 years in practice, I have been astounded by the changes I have seen in patients under chiropractic care. Often people come to see me after consulting with multiple other healthcare providers and often I will hear the remark, “I wish I had tried chiropractic first.”
When not in practice, I spend as much time as I can with my 4 children and our dog. I practice yoga weekly and try to get out in nature as often as possible.
